Subaru Independent serving Denver is thrilled with the success of Heritage High School’s annual Make a Difference Week, or MAD Week. Held on April 11th though April 18th, the "MAD Splash 'n Dash" event was a fundraiser to help support HHS’s sister school in Kabala, Sierra Leone, Africa. Kabala, located in West Africa, is ranked as the poorest city in the poorest country in the world.
HHS helped build the school in Kabala over the course of several years with the help of Heritage students, staff and the surrounding community.
The "MAD Splash 'n Dash” was a race that raised funds to provide support for Kabala school teachers’ salaries, supplies and upkeep. This event served as a powerful connection for Colorado and its people who strive to make a difference in the global community. The race included a 300-yard swim in the HHS pool, followed by a 5k run (3.1 miles) on the Lee Gulch and Highline Canal.
Subaru Independent was a proud sponsor of the event, and offers their thanks to Andrea Rudolph, a long-time Subaru Independent customer, for presenting them with the opportunity to support the fundraiser and the school in Kabala.
